Fire Resistant
MagPanel® is fire resistant building material for commercial and residential construction
- Class A1 fire rated product (Highest fire rating than the national standard).
- Magnesium oxide boards typically have a 0/0 rating on the ASTM E84 / UL 723 Flame Spread and Smoke Developed Index.
- No plywood, OSB or drywall panel can claim this.
- Releases up to 30 lbs. of water as vapor during a fire event, helping to cool and contain the fire.
Water Resistant
Will not disintegrate when immersed in water for short periods of time
- Maintains its structural stability when slightly bent.
- Does not warp.
- Does not swell.
- Does not delaminate.
- Long period exposure to moisture however is not recommended.
